COMMUNITY MATTERS

The Engaging Community, Building Community Initiative funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation will bring local organizations and citizens together, including rural and isolated members of the community to discuss key community priorities and a shared vision for the future.

United Way of Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry is seeking a part-time Consultation Coordinator to help develop and implement this comprehensive community consultation and priority setting process over a 30-month period in a manner that ensures effective outreach to an engagement of rural and isolated members of the community.

14 hours per week for the bulk of the project (86 weeks), decreasing to 7 hours per week in the final 16 weeks. A flexible schedule is required to accommodate consultations, which may occur on nights and weekends.

Salary is $15 per hour plus 4% vacation pay.

Qualifications/Skills

- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management and coordination skills
- Demonstrated ability to convene and coordinate/facilitate activities of a diverse group
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong knowledge of the local and rural community
- Experience working with volunteers
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
