THE SCM WALK

7:00 a.m.

A number of walkers, many of them SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT employees, led by Bernie Matte will depart from the SCM location off Boundary Road at 7:00 a.m., walk along the side of Highway #2 and right into the Village of Lancaster.

They will have a brief rest then head back to Cornwall using the same route.

Time of arrival back at SCM is 7:00 p.m.

This is the fourth year that Bernie Matte has walked for the United Way. His first walk took him to Lasalle, Quebec. The next 2 years he made his way to CJOH-TV in Ottawa where he was greeted by long-time United Way supporter Max Keeping.

The walkers are out in the community asking for your pledges. Bernie is hoping to raise $10,000 this year. All money collected is donated to the United Way of S. D. & G.

Campaign Manager, Elaine Myers stated, "Bernie has been a true believer in the United Way and he is determined that this amount of money can be raised. On behalf of the United Way Board, staff and member agencies, I want to sincerely thank Bernie for his ongoing support and commitment and to SCM officials and employees, for the 100% backing of this initiative."
