Honorary Chair

Dan Parkinson
The Board of Directors of the United Way of Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry are pleased to announce the appointment of Cornwall Police Chief Dan Parkinson to the position of Honorary Chair of the 2006 United Way Campaign.

In making the announcement, United Way President Tim Kirkby said “Chief Dan’s obvious connection to the community will bring attention to the United Way movement throughout S. D. & G.”.

Chief Parkinson is currently a board member on three of the eighteen United Way agencies, Maison Baldwin House, Family Counselling Services, and the Cornwall Youth Centre.

Chief Parkinson’s role is to increase awareness of the fund raising campaign, set to get underway in early September.

“Dan is a people person, knows the issues and the needs of our community and has been a strong United Way supporter for years” said Kirkby. “We have an aggressive campaign coming up and we are thrilled that Dan has joined the campaign team.

The United Way campaign goal will be announced at the kick off breakfast on September 6th at the Best Western Parkway Inn.
