Residential Services:

Services Offered: A 24 hour crisis line. Confidential, safe, secure, temporary shelter to women age 16 and over, with or without children who are leaving abusive situations. We provide informal counselling to empower and assist women in taking control of their lives and living a life free form violence. We assist with referrals and advocate for women and children. We provide shelter, meals, ( emergency clothing, appliances, and furnishings when available). The shelter is staffed with 3 full time, 6 part time
Residential Counsellors and a part time Child Support Worker are employed in the Residential Program.
Criteria for Admission: Our primary mandate provides service to women who are 16 years of age, with or without children who are leaving their environment due to issues of violence. It is important that it is a voluntary admission to the shelter by the woman requiring service. No use of alcohol or street drugs while residing in the shelter. Women under the influence will not be admitted. Males 15 years of age and over are not admitted to the shelter, alternate arrangements must be discussed.
Our secondary mandate provides temporary housing to women 16 years of age and older who are homeless.

Services Offered: We offer confidential, bilingual counselling/therapy to women 16 years of age and older who have experienced sexual assault more than 2 years ago. We offer information on police and court procedures, referrals and advocacy.
We offer individual and support/therapy groups to women who have experienced sexual assault.
Criteria: Women must be 16 years of age and over and have experienced sexual assault more than 2 years ago.
