Community Priority Consultations
In the summer of 2005 the United Way of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry embarked on a series of community consultations across S.D. and G. to learn about what matters to the people who live in the United Counties. The Ontario Trillium Foundation funds this initiative based approach to priority setting.
Community leaders from across the area came together in the community where they live to discuss what their local issues and their priorities were.
The first report entitled, "How We Speak Together" was delivered to the United Way of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry's Annual General Meeting in March 2006. This report detailed Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry's top six priority issues. Within this document was a snapshot review of each of the individual communities consultation processes, which revealed those areas issues as well.
