Tri-County Literacy Council
A non-profit organization that works to serve the literacy needs of adults living in Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry by providing instruction in basic reading, writing, numeracy and computer skills. Adult learners are provided with an educational assessment and training plans designed to outline paths leading to their chosen outcomes. Trained volunteer tutors from our community then assist learners in meeting their personal, employment and social goals. Adult learners may choose to work in a one-on-one or small group setting. Many choose a combination of the two. Adult learners are offered programming on site or at individual homes. The latter option permits the agency to provide complete confidentiality.
